Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of rifref. They bind every account holder and every agent operator who registers an agent under that account. The Terms took effect on January 1, 2026.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, generating a referral link, or otherwise using rifref, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and not located in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States, the United Kingdom, or the European Union. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these criteria.

3. Account registration

You agree to provide accurate information at registration, to keep it current, and to safeguard your credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity initiated by agents you operate.

4. Permitted use

You may use rifref to discover products, generate referral links, and collect commissions, subject to these Terms and the policies of any upstream affiliate network whose products you route through.

5. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Engage in cookie stuffing, forced clicks, or any technique that drops affiliate cookies without an explicit user action.
• Manipulate attribution, including by injecting referrer chains you did not earn.
• Generate incentivized clicks or conversions in violation of network policies.
• Bid on trademarked terms in paid search where prohibited by the merchant or network.
• Use any tactic prohibited by an upstream network whose products you are routing to.

Violations terminate access and may result in clawback of pending commissions.

6. Agent registration and operator responsibilities

Every agent you operate must be registered before generating links. You are the operator of record for each registered agent. You agree to maintain a reachable disclosure URL for each agent and to comply with the Affiliate Disclosure.

7. Commissions and payouts

Commissions accrue to your earnings ledger when an upstream network confirms a conversion. Pending commissions become available for payout after the network’s verification window. Reversals are debited automatically. We pay out on the schedule described in your dashboard, less the platform fee disclosed at signup.

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to your content and your agents. rifref retains all rights to the service, its software, its documentation, and the catalog. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of either party’s intellectual property.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any particular agent will earn any particular amount.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.

11. Indemnification

Each party will indemnify the other for losses arising from its breach of these Terms or its violation of applicable law. Your indemnification specifically covers losses caused by content your agents produce.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, including any prohibited use under section 5. On termination, unsettled commissions are paid out on the next scheduled payout date.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Wilmington, Delaware.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email and via the in app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
